I found these ODI soft X longneck grips on Blue Lug and really like them on Albatross bars. There available else were.

Coming up on a year on my Platy with AME Tri grips on Tosco bars. These are somewhat firm but I find them surprisingly comfortable. I recently got the same grips for another bike with swept back bars.

I have some Bontrager XXX foam grips on my 1994 Bridgestone MB-1 retro ride. I like them. Also using a combination of small trimmed remain sections of Bontrager XR Silicone and Race Lite X/RXL foam grips on my Gary Fisher Tandem on the front with Surly Bikes Open Bar using SRAM Grip Shift. Really liking the set up. Considering replacing the older Bontrager Dual Compound ergo grips on my Bontrager single speed with some  Bontrager XR Silicone, some ESI grips https://esigrips.com/ or some Chucks Grips https://www.chucksgrips.com/ when I change out some stuff. Have some Wilderness Trail Bikes/WTB Original Trail Grips on my WTB Bon Tempe and the Magura modified WTB grips on my Rivendell Mountain.

Thanks,

Reginald Alexis

I was using ergon lock-on grips but recently have gone back to the old school classic Hunt Wilde grips. I am converting everything over. I love the finger grooves.

Me and my old hands love the Mega Fat Paw from Wolf Tooth. Not pretty but comfy as heck:

I picked up some Thompson bottle-style grips for my Appaloosa. Classic shape and nice gum color, made in New England. They have a bulb in the middle that might not agree with some but I like it.

They also make other shapes and colors, too. I prefer mine over the Ourys they replaced because there's no lettering and they don't have the BMX vibe. More classic and subdued.

They have a very janky eBay store with bad pictures but they're nice grips: https://www.ebay.com/usr/ijt64?_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l2559

The only grips that make non-drop bars comfortable (somewhat) for me is the original Ergon grip; really head, shoulders, and waist above any other grip. I've thought of putting them, suitably trimmed, on the ends of the hooks of at least one of my drop bars.

When my Brooks grips failed, I made a pair from a leather handbag:

Ergons.   The first time I saw their ergo shaped grips I thought, "goofy looking".  Then I evolved (translation: got old and creaky). I'm currently  running them on two of my bikes. (I might be in a bit of a rut here, style wise)

The "biocork" Ergons are like Laz-E-Boys for your hands. So darn comfortable. I have multiple Ourys in the more elegant Blue Lug limited colours but can't argue Eric's point about them still not being totally right style-wise. Mind you, I'm running them on non-Rivs

For swept bars, the Ergon GC1 is the ticket

I picked up the ball-end grips from that eBay store. Kinda like the old school sketchy internet.

They are not super plush, but they offer decent grip in a variety of conditions. And one can kinda hangout on the ball end. Plus, I thought they looked cool, but might pick up the bottle style. (Bad pic, but all I have.)
