Overnighter Photos

I enjoyed an overnighter last week, and thought I'd share some photos.

The campsite I used is 4-hour-ride away from my room, yet is a secluded place.

And yes, the bike is heavy.

Wild cherry trees' flowering time differ from one tree to another, and near the campsite, elevation being over 1000 meters, some wild cherry trees were still in bloom.

I woke up at around 1 A.M., and when I crawled out of the tent to go to restroom, I saw the sky full of stars.

I forgot to bring a mini tripod, and this was best I could get, putting my camera on a log that was lying near my tent.

I slept again, and when I woke up in the morning, birds were singing everywhere.

When I saw this post I said to myself, "Oh, this is going to be good." 

Takashi's ride reports and pictures never disappoint. The log tripod really delivered the night sky!

Very nice photos, Takashi! I especially like the one of the river. There are so many beautiful rivers all over Japan, and I imagine the water in that one is still quite cool for swimming. Is this in Nagano prefecture? Perhaps I'll have a weekend soon to come out and explore the area.

I took the river photo from forestry road Hatouchi Route, around here.

Campsite here.

I've never swum in the river (I'm not a good swimmer), but I guess the water is very cold, even in summer.

Hatouchi Route is a very beautiful route, but the most beautiful river around here, in my opinion, is Kakizore River.
