Riv currently has about a dozen in stock FYI.

Thanks Justin,

I spoke with Vince last week and they had 14 in stock so I know that's an option.

What I'm not sure about is the size, and I'm slightly more interested in the Pass & Stow 3 rail but figured if I could get into a RBW52 for less than new I might be able to scratch the itch.

Gotcha. The Riv-Nitto RBW51 works well as a front basket support too and has a narrower profile. I have also used a Mark's Rack with long struts. It worked well even with a Wald 139 (the big basket).

Right on, thanks for the input Justin.

I like the profile of the Mark's Rack, problem is I need to be able to support 20+lbs which leaves me with a rack larger than I really want.

Maybe switching it up with the longer struts like you mentioned could put me on the right track?

I always overloaded my old Nitto M12 without issue, but adding a dog to the mix makes me hesitant to up the load on a smaller rack.

You're on the right track with the RBW52, 20 lbs. including a dog moving around needs maximum support. It's a big chunk of cash new but unfortunately there aren't many out there and the people who have them don't seem to be selling. Good luck!

You might consider this SOMA rack. May be bigger than you want, but way cheaper.
Good price at about $115 with shipping.
Or, the same but not stainless. $20 less. --
Either give more attachment points (5) than the Nitto (3).

If you're interested in David's recommendation I have I'm not using I'd be happy to pass along. Only caveat is I'm in the Bay Area and the dimensions mean it would be probably not worth it to ship. It is a fantastic rack.

Thank you all for reaching out!

I bit the bullet and ordered a Pass and Stow 5 Rail for my Susie.

I'm also in contact with Huston about the RBW52F for another build we're working on, lets see what happens!

Back on the hunt for a Nitto/Rivendell RBW52F Basket Rack, please respond off list if you have one available.

I have a Marks Rack to offer as partial trade if that means anything to you, or it will be for sale when the Basket Rack is acquired.

Thanks :)
