Simple idea: take a picture of your RIvendell in the foreground of a favorite (or at least interesting) skyline or location. Some will be obvious, others may make us guess. Anything goes - day/night/winter/summer - you get the idea. This one is from a few years ago. I no longer have the QB, but it was a fun shot on a quiet Sunday morning ride and is one of my Flickr pages most viewed photos. Gotta start planning my next skyline shot now...

Marty,
I'll take the bait. How's about Skyline Drive (Va.) - in the background of one of my favorite mixed-surface loops in Albemarle County!

Stokes State Forest in NJ, looking east from the Sunrise Mountain lookout on the AT. One of my favorite places in the state. Going to be doing an annual bike camping trip through here in a couple of months. Watch out for rattlesnakes!

Speaking of All Rounders - this was my previous one at the Indian River Inlet bridge in Delaware. Nice one to ride across! Baltimore is building one just like it to replace the Key Bridge that collapsed a year ago when it was hit by a container ship. Unlike the Indian River bridge, I don't think it will have a bike lane.

I'm not much one to take photos of the bike posted up while out on rides, but here's one I wound up taking of the Clem mid-March out on the Hoo Koo E Koo fire road below the east peak of Mount Tamalpais. The skyline includes Tiburon, the Marin Headlands, and downtown San Francisco, of course!

Roadeo on local hill. The pass is 4.36 chains, not 436 chains :)
