matching paint

a tired old question, but anyone got a match for the 'mustard' color on the joe app?

a sizeable tulip poplar (8-10 inch diameter) fell on joe last year, just missing my head. broke/bent stem, bars, stainless front rack, stout wheel and summa my ribs; but the double top tube frame and fork remained true, albeit scarred.

sky blue day, windless. go figure.

Hi Tom,

Here’s a thread in which I researched and settled on Pantone 126 as a close match for the mustard/butterscotch color. Ultimately, Rick at D&D just matched the paint to the existing frame.

thanks matthew. I'll try to locate pantone 126 and 132C. I'm a few hours away from any bicycle paintshops, so diy for me.

Here’s how I touched up mine with model paint. I mixed Testors GI Yellow with a few specs of black.

We’re calling the color shown here, Dark Mustard, but it responds to brown, butterscotch, or Pantone 132C, too. The other color is a creamy blue with a hint of green. A really beautiful, soft, nice color as well.
