Hello all-
It’s the endless clearing-out-of-hardly-used items here at UAL HQ! Today I have on the docket three different smallish sized bags. All show signs of use (or if you prefer, beusage). All are cotton/canvas bags, made here in the US.
Purchase/Ordering Notes: Prices do not include postage. If you are interested, please message me at
urbanadven...@gmail.com with your ZIP Code. Payment can be made via PayPal. Live in the Portland, Oregon area? We can do local pickup, within reason, preferably in North Tabor/Montavilla, where I’m based. No cash sales this time, you’ll still need to commit to the purchase via PayPal if you are local.
- Acorn Handlebar (Barrel) Bag. This is an older, more deluxe version of the (always sold out) current version depicted here. (And it doesn’t appear like Acorn is currently offering green.) This bag seems to be of the same overall dimensions/capacity (dimensions: 11″w x 5″, dia (28 x 13 cm), handlebar strap spacing: 5.5″ ctc, capacity: approx. 2.75 L). This model features a bigger flap with draw cord plus a bonus pocket. Shock cords for side stabilizing also included. $60
- Rivendell Sackville Banana Sax. This “oversize wedge saddle bag” was made in Connecticut, just like me! (Fun fact: I briefly went to school in Waterbury, where the bags were made. I even remember the Naugatuck Valley Mall!) You can see full info on the bag here. The brown color of this bag doesn’t seem to be one Rivendell offers anymore. $70
- Philosophy Small Shoulder Bag. Philosophy is a defunct Portland area bag maker well known for quality canvas bike (and not) bags. Their website is also defunct, but you can read testimonials from Carryology and Lovely Bicycle. This is a small shoulder bag that can be used as a makeshift pannier via the bag loops using straps or carabiners. (A detachable and very basic shoulder strap is included.) This bag measures 12″x11″x2″, good for books and not-bulky things. The straps are a snap/buckle combo. Two pockets under the flap with key ring, plus a small organizer pocket inside. $30
