WTB Silver shifter mounts

Hi All,

Does anyone have a pair of the new Rivendell thumbshifter mounts they are willing to part with?

Rivendell is currently sold out 

I wouldn’t be opposed to buying them with the shifters as well but I have shifters.

Ray, I recently went through the same problem with my Platypus.  After some research, I bought a set of thumbshifter mounts from Velo Orange which will work with the silver shifters.  Meanwhile, the silver mounts came available and I was lucky to get them!  They went on the bike instead.  I'd be happy to sell you the Velo Orange mounts if you decide to go that route.  One of them was mounted then removed before the bike was ridden, the other never got out of the box.

Thank you for the offer. 

Your experience has me wondering if the Paul thumbie mounts (did I say that right?) will work with the Riv shifters?

I do have a set of them here. I’m going to explore that and I’ll get back to you on the VO mounts. 

Meanwhile, does anyone know if the Paul’s work with the Riv shifters?

Does it warrant a new post?

The Platypuses are some of the nicest bikes Rivendell has made. 

I really like watching how their bikes evolve over the years…they get very thoroughly tested during development, I’ll go revisit the posts where people have shared theirs.

I tried it, the barrels on the Silvers are bigger than the old downtube levers and scraped on the Paul Thumbies mounts. Plus you would need the adapter Paul used to sell.
