Pasadena Bike Field Trip September 28

Our second bike field trip in search of California's Gold

Meet at Collage Coffee on York Blvd. in Highland Park. 10am meet up and coffee chat. 10:30 roll out. This is a mostly flat course. No Drop. cruise around historic Pasadena. Points of interest include Jackson Brown's childhood home, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Van Halen, Halloween's Michael Meyer's, Einstein, and Imelda Marcos palace. We'll be featuring Pasadena's most iconic architects the Greene and Greene brothers. Might as well come out and ride, last month' was fantastic and strangely more fun than we imagined.

Now that the D’s all live in the bay area, no reason to ride Pasadena anymore…but yesteryear our regular visits to SoCal always included a few laps around the Rose Bowl. 

Not sure what the motivation was, but much of the stadium is below ground so you don’t appreciate its immensity until you ride in—and there’s always somebody doing pedaling or running laps around the field. 

Quiet and peaceful somehow.
