FS: Early Rivendell Road

I have a Riv I picked up recently, but it is a bit too big for me so I'm letting it go. Below is the original posting:

Rivendell Road Master, 1995, in as close to original condition as possible for used bike. Built in Waterford Wisconsin with elegant lugs. Rides beautifully. 10 speed Shimano Ultegra with a compact double chainset. Full Ultegra components. Custom built wheelset: DT Swiss Hugi rear hub, Shimano DuraAce front, with Mavic Open Pro rims.

Everything is in excellent condition, and it's ready to ride.

The seat tube is 21.5" c to c (54 cm) and 22" c to top (55 cm). 

The serial number indicates the 1995 year, and the number of the build is 45. This is one of Rivendells first bikes, as I understand it. If you pay attention to details, you might like the lugged fork crowns, and the unusual color scheme. It has both vintage appeal, and still rides as well as almost any new custom built steel bike in the world.

Hi, a 54 cm frame is already pretty small, but adding a shorter stem will make it feel like a 52 cm at least. If you like the bike otherwise,.... I'd keep it for the history and early shorter chain stay specs & fitting narrower tires from what I can see.

Thats a very good point Joseph! Thank you. I definitely do not need to sell the bike for any financial reasons, so I may try a stem swap. I've got the seat all the way down as far as the post will go compared to whats in the photo!
