In which Indian summer ends with winter's fleeting troubadour vanguard one day, and six inches of snow the next.

With abandon,

Deak - At least you had a Fall/Indian Summer.  Here in the Midwest Autumn immediately deteriorated into an early Winter with snow fall back at the end of October.  It never did return to normal Fall
weather conditions until recently when it's just become an ordinary November.  My aging carcass can't handle the cold as well any more so bike riding may be over for the year.

Well, it's about time you posted another ride report onlist. Get back with the program, man!

Seriously, welcome back, and welcome back too for your very nice photos.

"Silence" indeed when the fresh fallen snow damps the branches, even the wind becomes quieter. Great hsots!

Dear Patrick, it's a great relief to see and hear of your adventures again. So happy for you that you're 'out there in it ... and so happy for us who, surely more than you know, are motivated to go experience something on our bikes.  Well done, you!

Thanks, all! Aye, Andrew, Beorn is hibernating for the winter. Fixed gear for snow and slop of winter. Even when the lower roads are clear, the trail is snowy.

With abandon,
Patrick
