First, a naive question: Does the Ritchey Logic 110/74 triple take a JIS taper? Frankly, I've never paid much attention to the taper; just shoved the crank on and torqued it down, with no problems except a few times.

At any rate, I guess my Phil 130 is JIS, at least, I didn't discuss taper with staff when I ordered it, and JIS is the default for square taper, right?

Anyway, I'm looking for a 126 in Phil or SKS/Rene Herse, and hope to find one in excellent (note that: "excellent") condition for less than full retail.

127 mm if price is right.

Phil or SKS, please (which do you prefer, and why?) tho' might also consider an as-new SunTour with Grease Guard if they come in a 126; don't recall.

If the swap goes well, will have a VG 130 Phil (JIS?!) for sale. Or trade me for the 130 on spec, me paying shipping both ways in either event ...

Tx.

Patrick,
I sent an image that I lifted from Phil’s site.
I sent it privately since it was too large to post here

Shimano and Tange BB's come in 127.5mm JIS. They are relatively cheap and reliable IME.

Thanks, all. Read and noted. I don't know if $150 for 4 mm is worth it, but I have the information I need and will as usual procrastinate until I feel ready to make the decision.

... and if anyone has a 126 SKF in vg condition, I will be delighted to discuss taking it off your hands.
