Hi all, I'd like to try a bar with less sweep on my Atlantis. Anyone have recommendations for something a bit more aggressive but still silver with a 25.4 clamp?

On the Blue Lug site, these are the ones that stood out if anyone has experience with them: Nitto Wavie RBW-32, Sim Works Getaround, Nitto Kite, Nitto Heron, VO Postino.

Cheers,
F Mac

I swapped from Billies to Mothbars on my Joe for this reason. I think they’re perfect, and many others do, too. I did swap to a slightly shorter stem, though, since they’re a bit wider without the same amount of backsweep. If you’re patient, rumor has it Riv is coming out with something that might fit the bill that others are excited about, too. I think it might be called the Goldilocks bar? If you search that term here, you should come up with the thread discussing it. Cheers!

Mothbars are cromo, though. I thought I preferred aluminum, but now I don’t!

Good recs, thanks. That Goldilocks bar looks the part! Would be nice to see it added to WhatBars. I'll hold off in hopes that they are made available soon.

Highly recommend these and they look perfect on Rivs:

1) Crumbworks KT bar, 39 deg sweep, 40mm rise, 720mm (my personal fav)
2) Bassi / Nitto Bobby Bar, 30 deg sweep, no rise, 750mm
3) Nitto B802HT, about 26 deg sweep, 50mm rise, 720mm

All are dullbright aluminum and 25.4, and generally you can trim about 15-20mm off each side if you want

I've used the VO Postino. It's a decent little bar, at 570mm it's only 10 less than the Billie, though. the 45 degree sweep makes them feel a  bit wider. They'll definitely move you forward when in the grips.

Here's thought if you want to give the Billies a final.    chanceI've been on a Platypus with them for two years now.  I often spend more time forward of the levers as I do on the grips - and have wrapped the bar accordingly.

Nitto Heron bars are a great option too.

Thanks for the continued excellent recommendations. The Crumbworks KT and Bassi x Nitto bar both look perfect. Alas, both sold out! Will monitor for alerts.

@Steve -- Yes good rec on wrapping the forward portions. I'm still feeling a bit too pinched off in terms of hand/arm position. I'm already at around 110mm on my stem so it feels like a good avenue to listen sweep and see how it feels. Your bars look great.

I second Jason’s KT bar recommendation. Have them on my Appa now and love them.

Been looking at Billie alternatives for my Clem too and found the simworks/sycip JB bar to look interesting. Maybe have a look at that? Might pull the trigger on it this weekend as I similarly don’t love the width/angle of sweep on my billies being a wider shouldered person.

Hi F Mac,

I put some Nitto Wavies on my Gus, but I personally found that I needed the multiple hand and upright/forward positions of the Billie so I ended up putting them back on the bike. I'm also dealing with a chronic spine injury that won't allow me to ride in a forward reaching position all the time. That said, if I had my wish, I'd ride the Wavie as the bike was so bmx dirt bike fun with them, and it looked great too.

Sweet Atlantis btw.
