It's fancy and swoopy and I dig it. I also dig the original name and decals (and sheep) so I'm adding my non-requested vote for keeping them. Check it out, it's pretty!

Roberta: I'm not sure the bend in the mid-stays would be more compliant than the old straight ones, but they look thinner/smaller to me which might be a benefit. Although I wouldn't consider the current model too stiff.

I forgot to say that I will really miss the Cheviot name and decals if they rename the bike. If it gets a new name please no Wolbis. Or Slugstone. I dread telling newcomers, “Let me tell you about my Wolbis.” It will sound terribly inappropriate.
Looking at the bike and what a class act it is, it just has to be named accordingly. It could be a Galadriel! Arwen! Something...

Here's one of those sample frames. It's an updated version of the Cheviot, although Grant is considering having a new name and new decals for it.
The forks came without v-brake studs (I'm not calling them canti-posts anymore), so forgive the mis-matched brakes. This 55cm frame rides like a dream... it feels bigger in a good way compared to the old 55cm, which I attribute to the 700c wheels, slightly slacker headtube angle and longer top tube. I think it's mostly the wheels. The v-brakes are the big change, but there's other small things that most people might not notice. We'll have more details later.
If they change the name, my vote would be for Deux Chevuit.

But if the almost timid bend at the end of the stay on the Glorius is like clearing the throat, I guess the new Chev is full burst of song. …
I'm slightly mystified as to the 700c wheel size, as in the past, increasing chainstay length and wheel size as the bike frame get bigger has been a design consideration. But I know Grant favors the 60cm Chev and the 59cm Clem L, and I suspect part of that attraction is the large, roll over it, 29er-esque feel of the wheels with fat tires. That extra bit of inertia goes well with the longer wheelbases on these bikes. I just can't fit the 59 Clem in my living room.
Paul, I see it just like that - but with red hearts. ❤️ I definitely think you should get in on this. Men with Mixtes - we should have a patch made.

Not from Paul and maybe not the swoops you’re after - but proud (Rosco) Bebe Daddy here happy to post pics.

Men on Mixties is already a thing: MOMs. From the 2018 Riv catalogue.
It lives, it's in the new newsletter and here's the pic. I have the somewhat dubious distinction (I think) of being the first "outsider" to know about this project when Grant and Will mentioned it to me at RBW last year. So now I'll start the thread! It's fancy and swoopy and I dig it. I also dig the original name and decals (and sheep) so I'm adding my non-requested vote for keeping them. Check it out, it's pretty!

Yikes, Garth, so I was wrong - that’s nearly 52 inches. Yeah, I had to get a long wheelbase bar for my bike rack. The 47.25 in Cheviot will seem like a shortie.Sent from my iPad

I think if they end up making the 55cm (aka medium frame) a little "bigger" it will help give people a choice of choosing a frame with a lower step-through. The recommended sizing for the current Cheviot really pushes "medium" candidates to the large frame size. The large size's step over is pretty darn high as I recall.

Ryan: Nope, I'm back in the production camp for Our Bicycle Belle today (I'll change my mind again tomorrow). That Cheviot I rode is magic and she'd love it. Three prototypes already in action tells me a new Fancy Cheviot is on the horizon.
