I want some mudguards on my Clem-- I do not want full fenders.

I like the Mudhuggers, my friends have these on their disc bikes and they are solid- https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/us/en/mudhugger-large-rear-mudguard/rp-prod197453
but I don't think the V brakes and the braze-ons on the stays will allow these to work. Not enough clearance.

Riv sells the seat-post mounted SKS version, but I hang a Happisack off the B67 and I think it's going to get in the way with clearance, so something lower to the tire (like the Mudhugger) would be preferred.

Any suggestions? This would all be easier if LBS' carried good inventory in store, but alas.

I ended up going with an SKS X-Blade II and it fits great. The cantilever option is what is needed for the long chainstays and to get the guard out and away from the frame. Also, clamped very nicely lower down on the seat-tube as opposed to the post.

Yankeebird,
That worked perfectly. I appreciate you sharing the photo and that you can mount the fender below the seat post on the seat tube. What did you install for a front fender?

I have a SKS S-Board QuickRelease up front that I got from Riv. They are OK, but they are a bit narrow for the 2" tires on there. I'll probably look for something else but... nothing is so permanent as a temporary fix.
