Neither the City nor the State have imposed curfews so far, though
I've heard rumors that they may do so. To prepare, how does one
exactly define necessary cycling transportation? A new favorite
afternoon ride recently has been to ride north and east for ~8 miles
before riding south and west to a grocery store that is exactly 1 mile
south of me, thus turning a 2 mile rt into a 17 mile ride. I wonder
what the curfew cops would say to that?

Patrick Moore, in ABQ, NM, where there is no flour to be found on the
westside, apparently.

I've been out there and there's a few cars and bikes around, but it's unusually quiet. What you don't want to do is get caught in packs of people, they'll give you a ticket for that.

I’m in Napa. Today was the first day of our shelter-in-place. It’s been made clear here and in the rest of the Bay Area that biking is an allowed activity both for exercise and for transportation. Just no groups. I imagine it will be the same elsewhere, but I suppose it could vary. I went for a 15 mile ride today to blow off some steam.
