I've always liked the Made in USA labels on Sackville products, and support many companies who try to support US-based businesses. Not easy these days. I'm not anti-non-US made stuff, but I try to be aware.

A recent purchase of a Kangaroo pouch came to me with a variation on the label - now it says "Hecho in Connecticut". (Shouldn't it be Hecho en Connecticut?)  I get narrowing things down the the state where it is made, but why the Hecho part? When did that start?  Not a deal breaker, but I prefer the simplicity of "Made in USA".

I just looked at the last Sackville bag I purchased. It's probably over a year old by now, and it says Made in USA. But I like the hecho. Fits right in with Rivendell's quirkiness!

I believe that is what's referred to as "a joke"

I could be wrong though...

As far as I recall the "Hecho in Connecticut" first appeared on the Shopsacks last March.

Just strikes me as another opportunity for Grant to tweak something and make it his own. Can't think of other brands that use unholy combinations of Spanish and English on their product labels. GP is fond of incorporating tiny bits of Spanish and Italian in his writing and ad copy (see: Readers, blog posts, the Riv site, etc.)
