miesha’s then and now

Hi!

Does anyone know if the “Miesha’s cork grips (normal)” sold by Blue Lug now (though currently out of stock) are shaped like the Rivendell-sold Miesga’s grips from, say, ten yers ago?

The Miesha’s from ten-ish years ago had a slight barrel-like shape. The Blue Lug version seems basically cylindrical, best I can tell from the web photos.

if theyre the same offering from the since discontinued Riv offering ( i assume BL just bought up a ton knowing theyd be discontinued) then they are just cylindrical. the shape you're referring to went away a while ago. 

i have them on one bike and as much as i love them, for this snapshot in my head of what a rivendell should look like, i've since dropped this (very heavy) bike on both sides and the ends snapped clean off. its a bummer, and due to them being discontinued i'll just have to update my mental snap shot, to ESIs with tape.
