The last 3 days I've gone on 3 what I call acorn cruncher rides. (28, 11 and 6 miles)
There are lots of fallen acorns as well as leaves all over the area.
I think its a cool sound as the tires roll over these little nuts.
Note the fairly slack angle of this old Miele mt bike from around 1989 I think.
I measured it at a Riv like 70 degree head tube angle.
Some cultures ate acorns after preparing them in a manner to remove the tannins and bitterness.
I think it was by soaking and then cooking them.
If times get lean there are plenty of them around here to eat if one is so inclined.
