Very nice. Here's the new Clem in front of the St. Paul, MN Seventh Street Improvement Arches. (A National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark). The more I ride this bike, the more fun I'm having. Getting closer to having it dialed in and decked out. Not happy with the bell though. Sticks up too much. And the seatpost was slightly slipping, so it's been replaced with a black Kalloy Uno.

Nice photos!
Here are three from Puglia, the “boot-heel” of Italy, from a ride down the Adriatic.

Pedaling through the olive grove.  26% of Italy’s wine and almost half their olive oil comes from this region.  The ground is bare because they still sweep up the olives with twig brooms.

Ostuni, the White City.  The cities were originally put on hills so when you do a ride, leaving in the morning it’s a blast, but pedaling up in the evening after a day’s tour is a challenge.

The Italian version of a Clem.  One brake, one gear, but Italian style.

Labor day ride 19 Miles through Richardson on the Clementine.
Believe it or not the first ride on the "Tine" with a Water bottle cage; I've never mounted one because I felt that they Negate the drop bar advantage to a certain extent, previously I put a Water bottle in my Basket, but I haven't remounted it yet!

A nice 10 or so miler around the area on Friday. For those in Minnesota, it's the Gateway Trail in St. Paul.  Took the day off work to get a flu shot and run a couple of errands. Pretty much settled down with the swapping of parts on the Clem. Still very happy with this bike. Haven't felt this smooth of a ride since my days riding a 1984 Stumpjumper. And the handling is better.

I like that picture. It well shows why it’s my favorite time of year to ride, and doing it on a new Clem has made it all the more enjoyable.

Just b4 heading out on yesterday's ride I mounted that two-legged kickstand from Pure Cycles on my Miele 26'er old mtb.

I kinda like it's functionality though not necessarily the look. Works well.

Anyone on list on the cusp of inventing a instant teleporter of bikes and rider so I could ride with you?

Paul, I would like that instant teleporter of bikes and rider if you can find one!

Here are some more shots from a really “good ride”.  It was 2018, but 2020 has not been kind to international touring.

I do about 1300 miles a year on the local bike trail, mostly on my Sam, to prepare.  The Silver Comet is a lovely rails-to-trails bike trail, but 15 miles in one direction and 20 miles in the other does get a little monotonous.  I think of it as commuting.  Here’s the view over the handlebars.  The speedometer says zero because it is tough to get a good shot from a moving bike so I stopped to take it.

My wife must have been a frustrated travel agent in another life.  She sets up these wonderful bilking tours to really little known places in Europe, for cheap.  If people think that this fits the “Just pics from your good ride”, I’ll add some from other places.  Otherwise, I may try to start a touring thread.  But, dang, we all need to think that there may be some good rides coming up in 2021!

Here are a few more from the trip down the Adriatic in Apulia from Polignano a Mare to Carovigno.  Never heard of those towns?  Neither had I.

Here’s the bike.  Once I shipped the Sam over for a tour ($150 to Paris, free on the trains), but most times we rent.  This is a rented electric Atala with a Bosch drive system, hydraulic discs, Schwalbe Marathon tires, and a Garmin nav system.  I bring my own Arkel panniers.  They pre-programmed the route, handed us the Garmin, and said “Buon viaggio“.  Neither of us speak Italian, but we figured that one out and… off we go.

The area around Alberobello is known for its “Trulli”.  These are drystone houses with conical roofs.  The story goes that they were designed to be taken apart just before the tax collector visited.  “House?  What house?  That’s just a pile of stones.”

I mostly ride the Silver Comet, which is a rails-to-trails.  Here, they have “Roman-aqueduct-to trails”.  One bike wide.  If you’re lucky.

It is not always the landscapes.  Here’s a cafe we biked past, then turned around and had a cup of coffee.  Can you spot the half-scale penny farthing bike?

We finished up back at Polignano a Mare, because that’s where the train to Rome stopped.  A very photogenic town on the Adriatic.

It appears to post the photos in reverse order?

Anyway, everybody rides differently.  I'd love to hear about/see photos from others who tour the Velo routes.

On the Cross-NH Adventure trail this summer. I tweaked my neck really hard getting it on the car that morning, it kind of toppled back on me as I was mounting it on the roof and in my rush to save it I made one of those "too-quick-for-the-brain-and-neck" things and wow, wicked cramp. Still feel it if I sleep bad on it! Great ride but super windy that day. Perfect bike

Grim and grey, but still a nice ride, and wish I had time to make it longer -- had to get back to the grind. The photos were taken in terra nova, for me, who have lived adjacent to it for 17 years in January: west bank of Rio Grande, south of Montano Boulevard. There are trails galore that I must explore, not trying to rhyme. Geese have started wintering here in the last 5-6 years or so, as have big herons. The RG is very low, even for winter.

I rode the Monocog; great bike for twisty (and flat) trails ridden slowly. Am very tempted to take the 3" WTB Ranger, remove the fenders, and install them on the Matthews dirt road bike.

A couple of weeks ago in Patapsco State Park, Baltimore County, Maryland.

Lots of love for the Suzie that I wasn't expecting!  One fella said he has a Ram and a Romulus, and another yelled, from his full suspension 29er, "That thing belongs in Marin County!"

(The pics are of my buddy riding the Trek 8000 he got new as a teenager 20 year ago).

Pretty. Where is this? It can't be too cold, from the green.

I took a pleasant 1:16 ride today, all dirt, all slow, all Monocog, with high of 37*F and wind gusting to 37 mph, but was somewhat protected from the worst of it by riding mostly in the bosque cottonwood thickets. Just 10.5 miles for that 1:16, tho', tho' that time does include some stops and sloppy stopwatch management. Sand and wind and a single 65" gear gave a good workout! Oh, and 2 more miles on Monocog giving dog a run.

Cheers Patrick,  I really should keep in the habit of adding my location to my sign-off.  I'm in Vancouver BC, aka the only temperate corner of Canada where it was below freezing overnight (and very, very slippery in the morning) but warmed to ~45F in the afternoon. We don't get a lot of snow here but when we do, it's a mess because a) people aren't really used to it here and b) being a wet snow that falls around the freezing mark (often crossing back and forth), it is really really slippery compared to other places. I could barely walk along the sidewalk at 8am, it was just a sheet of ice.  But by afternoon things were pretty OK!  This particular location is Queen Elizabeth Park, which rests atop one of the highest elevation spots in the city, around 8km southeast of the downtown core.

A friend wanted to ride 100 km yesterday, so I suggested a route which involved a pretty unreasonable amount of climbing but incredible views and lots of mixed surfaces and time away from cars.  It was a blast. My tan wall tires are no longer tan whatsoever.

Been living in Yokohama, Japan since last August. The legendary Japanese Rail system is an excellent way to get to the nearby mountains for exploration and forest bathing. If steep is your groove, then Japan is where its at. Here are a few snaps from a few rides- most recently, last Sunday.  Enjoy!

Yesterday, I made a second attempt at a century: Berkeley to Sacramento. I left Berkeley at 7:30a and planned to catch the last train from Sacramento at 7p. By 2:30, I was only in Vacaville and I had more than 40 miles to go, so I rode back to the Fairfield station and took Amtrak home.
