Hello all! First post, but long-time lurker. Been thinking of an excuse to post and I'd like to gather opinion on this.

Been building up a Gus I bought from facebook and enjoying it, it's my first experience putting together a bike from frame up and it's been frustrating and rewarding.

I'm almost done with it, and in leui of some FANCY cranks I decided to paint some well priced ones from spa cycles. Its not under any topcoat so I'll let it scuff off and do a better job next time if I still like it and protect it.

Also, while I'm here - I'm looking for either a modern Atlantis in 55 or older in 58 if anyone has one they'd like to sell!

Definitely looks sick! And I agree with Aaron that it fits of overall vibe of the Gus. I definitely enjoy the fish :) Just need one of Ghooooost's flower twists to tie it all together. Looking forward to see how it evolves with Beausage

How wonderful! I wish I had an artistic hand because I would love a painted theme on my bike!

Thank you! Haha getting outed as the Story mfg guy. Probably outed myself, but never expect anyone to know anything about anything I do.

I think there's something good here - going to see how they go!

Good job!

Tell me about a first frame-up build! On my first try I didn’t even know that different frames take different wheel sizes and ended up with a frame for 28” wheels and rod brakes equipped with a rear 700C wheel meant for caliper brakes and a front 24” wheel, also meant for rod brakes; of courses, no brakes would fit the contraption, but I rode it all the same.

Experientia docet.
