I've used the Pro 5 Vis model on many bikes for years and have found them strong, light, and elegant, with narrow Q. Two problems: the older ones have a small space between inside of arm and outside of big ring; you have to be careful with derailleur choice and setup. I think those made in the last 10 years have more space; perhaps others can confirm or correct this opinion.
The other problem, minor, is that the ring mounting hardware is fiddly. Buy aftermarket hardware from VO instead.
I successfully installed a Pro 5 Vis wide range double on a very wide stayed mountain bike with a custom 145 mm bb spindle -- point is, you can adapt them to wider-tired frames.
I've not used the RH cranks, though I've been tempted -- I just have too large a stash of the Pro 5 Vis's.
