I’ve been Riv-less for several years now, but I’m back in the club. My bike fund was flush from flipping a Surly Krampus, I was all set to order a Crust Lightning Bolt, then found this on my regular eBay search:

Congrats! I'd watched that bike for weeks...months maybe? But it seems I was outwitted by ebay AI description again because I thought it was for frame and fork, and the photos of complete bike were just as "example". I wasn't willing to pay that for just the frameset and some extra parts, I guess I should have read it more than once through. Wouldn't be the first time.

Yeah, I was actually having the same concerns when I thought back to the photos vs the (lousy AI) description. I have a belated question in to the seller.

Nice score! If it helps out at all Ebay offers the AI description to everyone who inputs notes, so it is common and not a scam indicator.

I got my new Quickbeam on Saturday, and happily it mostly exceeded my expectations. Nice build, a few minor cosmetic defects.
