Recently aged out of my Quickbeam (66) as I moved to the top of a challenging hill.  I made a successful conversion to 3 speed using a rear derailleur for chain tension and adding a third chain ring, front derailleur and shifters.  Conversion is very successful thanks to help from the gents at Rivendell.  Easily converted back to stock - manual two speed.

Bike is in great shape, frame paint imperfections commensurate with age.  I have owned over 20 bikes, many steel, and this is the most enjoyable, best balanced bike I have owned.  I still have one at my second home which is located in the bay area that I can ride up skyline.  That should speak to the hill i live on.

I typically ride 56 and 54.  I have longer legs and this 58 fits me perfectly.

Price is $1,750
Shipped at cost

Some Particulars:
  • Made in Japan by Panasonic,
  • Original chainrings, drive train,  will be included with the bike.   White Industries (17T cog I believe)
  • Bike includes everything shown besides bottle, pedals, seat and the paul canti brakes which will be changed back to tektro.
  • The Paul brake levers will stay with the bike.
  • Current Chainrings 40, 34, 24. Shifts great.
Bike is in great shape but does have some scuffs, etc that don't show well in photos.   The bike is currently in San Luis Obispo but I travel to Oakland frequently.  Will be in Oakland July 10th or thereabouts.

Any questions, please text me at 408 569 2480.

Hi All

I have a  QB coming up for sale. Made in Japan by Panasonic.  It is currently in Avila Beach and I will be bringing it to Oakland.  Size 58, fits me perfectly and I ride a size 54 to 56 in other bikes. I will post price and photos soon.

Bike has brought tremendous joy and is my favorite of many high end bikes.  I am 66 and moved to the top of a large hill.  Ingenious 2-speed capability, the QB is also the favorite of many Rivendell employees.  It's my favorite bike to ride of all time.  There is something about the quickbeam.

The Google link to pictures doesn’t work for me. Might check it to make sure it works.
