I volunteer at a community bike repair shop in the SF East Bay.  I've come across a small stash of TA Specialties delacours that I'm selling on behalf of this non-profit shop. All are in good condition with a very small amount of pitting that cleans with brass wool.  They are designed to work with Mafac Racer brakes, but I emailed with Paul Price (Paul Components) and as the Pauls are based on the Mafacs, he thought that they would probably work with his brakes as well.  (But no guarantees, as I haven't tried it myself.)
Any takers at $25 each plus shipping?.  Or pick up in Oakland and save shipping cost.  See attached picture showing one of them mounted on one of my steeds.

Sorry, my first typo in French.  They are DECALEURS, not the delaceurs.

Hi Matthew,

I'm interested! Do you know if it would work with Mafac RAID? (See below.)

Thanks!
Sally

Hi Sally, you know, I'm not sure.  I've attached a picture of an unmounted one.  You'll see 3 mounting points.  One for the break bridge and two for the pivots.  If you can very accurately measure the xy distances between all the holes, and the z distance from the brake bridge holes to the pivot holes, we can make an educated guess.  Do you have calipers?

Kind Regards

Matt D

Thanks, Matt. I'll try to borrow some calipers or dig out a printer's ruler that's around here somewhere!

OK.  I'll hold one for you until at least Monday.  They're going fast.

Kind Regards

Laing, Sally, please resend your request directly to my email as shown in the members section.  Others who are interested:  Please also send to my direct email, not the group as a whole.

All have been spoken for, and there is one person on the waiting list incase someone changes their mind.  If more become available, I'll make an announcement.

Also, if anyone has any requests for other parts, LMK.  They have a small mountain of cranks--older Suginos, etc.  There are also a few unusual quill stems. I think.  Long and Tall Nittos,  a "regular" Modolo, maybe one or two French ones, maybe a 3TTT stem and bars.

If this is the shop I think it is, in Oakland, then I got the last one in the display case, along with a set of Mafac "Racer"s. (That's how I type it, 'cuz it's funner that way.) Along with a bunch of other parts and bits as I've tuned the Probable Peugeot PKN-10 to my needs and wants. If the rules of the list allow, I'll post their full contact info, because people should buy stuff from them and give them money, because they're righteous dudes and they deserve it.

As to the racks themselves, they really do only work with Mafacs. "Racer"s are what they were made for, and I've seen photo evidence that the work on Raids, as well. They're known to not work on Weinmann / Dia Compe centerpulls without modifying the rack a bit, which I can at least partially confirm, as last night's attempt ended in ignominious failure. They were made to sit under a decaleur'd handlebar bag, where the decaleur carries a lot of the load. Using them for basket duty tends to break 'em.

Anywho, that's what I know about them. And, if the list allows, I'll shamelessly promote the shop in question, if it's the one I think it is.
