Good eye on the linseed oil Mathias.
That’s actually a gallon size jug with raw linseed oil. I use it on spoons I carve.
If you look to the right you will see some spoons.
Raw linseed oil takes longer to polymerize but if it’s pure, it is food safe.
Boiled linseed oil polymerizes faster but depending on the source, it can have some pretty nasty chemicals added to speed the drying process.
For spokes I would use boiled.
I keep some high quality boiled oil from Sweden. I use it for tool handles and outdoor benches, workbenches etc…
