I was finally able to upgrade to my dream, and first, Rivendell, a Hunqapillar, so I am selling my Surly Cross Check frameset! $500

54 cm Cross Check - 2015-2016
Chris King 1" threadless headset
SimWorks Dirty Rhonda stem
Shimano Bottom bracket that fit my vintage Sugino AT triple crankset

I also have from it:
Shimano Deore 10 speed deraileur - $20
Shimano 10 speed cassette - $10
Shimano bottom Bracket for a double - $10

I am a sign painter and painted the frame a custom pink with hand lettered surly lettering. The paint job isn't the toughest, but looks cool! I have the extra paint I mixed I can give you for touch ups.

I am located in Portland, OR for local pick up but can ship too, which would be an extra $70 or so. That is what it cost to get my new frame here.

Here is the Craigslist link for photos.

Thanks!
Jeffrey

Very nice looking paint job, love the hand painted logos. To take this slightly OT, how is it working with those enamels? Is it something a neophyte can handle? What I am looking to do is to paint some raised lettering on some lug castings. Pretty small lettering maybe 1/2 cm high. I did some googling and found people in some car forums talking about using one shot paints as well.

Hey!

Thanks! I’d say for something small like that, it’d be pretty easy. You can thin it slightly with mineral spirits, or just use it out of the can. It is oil based so you need to use a small brush made for that and clean it with mineral spirits right after, otherwise the brush will be ruined.

You could also use Testors model paint since it is so small and they come in little containers. The one shot is around $10 per 1/4 pint. Not sure about the Testors.

If you are in Portland, they stock all of the one shot colors at Pacific Coast Sign Supply on SE 7th near Belmont.

Good luck!

Pics of Hunqapillar?

After waiting for 8 years, I finally had the opportunity to pick up a 54cm Hunqapillar from what I think is the very first batch.  The serial number is 015.
