I'm working on resurrecting a crashed Gus. As part of that I'm tying to get an accurate fork AC length. Just eyeballing the fork relative to my other bikes, it looks considerably longer than the listed 399. When I measure it in the same way I've measured other AC lenghts, it actually measures 420mm. Anyone have thoughts or can anyone measure a Gus or Susie fork when they get a chance? ThanksIMG_3388.jpeg

Looks like 425mm axle to crown length.

Yes, as measured to the top of the crown. Strange because I’ve seen Gus forks referenced at 399mm in many places. That said, you’re not going to fit a 29x2.6 tire on a 399 AC fork.

Would the 399mm have been for the smaller size Hillibikes with 650b wheels?  I can go measure my (XL) Gus if that'd be helpful, although it sounds like 425mm is confirmed.

Ah. That’s a good point. I have a 57 with 29 inch wheels. If you could measure yours sometime I would really appreciate it just to make sure I’m doing it right. Thanks.
