I'm in a state of bike overflow, and it's about to get a lot worse.  I'm getting pressure from the office manager in Michigan to take my two bikes out of there, plus my adult daughter has elected to move back home after college for a low-rent option to get her finances in order.  So, in an ideal situation I'd make 5 or 6 bikes go away.  The most Rivendell friendly four that could be prised free are:

59cm Romulus.  I bought this a few years back for $800 locally, but ended up reconfiguring it quite a bit.  As it sits now with a 3x1 drivetrain and nice dynamo wheels I would want $1400.  Reconfigured back to something resembling how I bought it, I could get it to around $1000.  Frame + fork + headset: $700.

56cm Sam Hillborne.  I bought this in December 2009 when they retailed for $1000.  It's the bike I've owned the longest, but it's been in Michigan for 4 years and I haven't died without it, so I can clearly live without it.  Built up nicely and complete, $2400.  Frame set.  $850.

58cm Gunnar custom singlespeed.  Riv-adjacent because it was built by Waterford.  Riv-adhjacent because the original owner wanted to match a Hillborne.  I'd be looking for $1200 complete, or $600 for the frame set.

59cm Bridgestone RB-1.  I bought the frame locally for $200.  It's on its way to being built up as a complete semi vintage 80s/90s road bike.  I could pause the build, or strip it down to the frame, or finish the build.  Ideally it would be somebody local who I know, and I could just work out a handshake deal.

Let me know if any of these interest you -OR- if you have admired another of my bikes.  I need space, so I'd work with you on price.  Particularly if you are local, or if we are acquainted.  Pictures on request.

There are a lot of people interested in the Sam Hillborne.  Ideally it would be somebody local to Michigan who takes the complete bike.  That way I don't have to pay a shop in Michigan to box and ship it.  I don't even have to be there.  If the person who buys it complete decides to part it out, there are a few things I'd be interested in buying back.  The Nitto Soba Noodle handlebars are EXCEEDINGLY rare.  I'd buy those.  The Avocet R40 saddle is my all time favorite, even though that one on the Hillborne is kind of ripped up on the nose.  I'd buy that.  The stem shifters are super useful.  The Sugino Mighty 900 is the best 172.5mm crankset that nobody has heard of, etc etc.

The Hillborne is quite famous on these lists (iBob and RBW) as you did many write ups on your randonneuring adventures on that bike, waxed lyrical about its comfort and speed and that whether it planed or not was irrelevant. Apologies for any misquoting, but I do remember that being one of your favorite bikes for a long while.

The Sam Hillborne and Crust Florida Man are in the Hankook Tire Building in Livonia, Michigan.
