Posting this to the group, but also, want to ask for honest opinions about whether or not this price seems fair? It's always tough when you invest $$$ in new parts/service and then realize soon thereafter that it's time to sell. I've been riding and loving my Atlantis more and this bike is starting to feel like it's a bit redundant. Thanks for any input...

I think you should decide what price you're willing to sell it for, and stay firm and true to yourself.  I have the same bike, in 59.  I got rid of it once, regretted it terribly, and was lucky to get it back.

There are multiple ways you can build this and your Atlantis differrntly, to feel distinct and complimentary to each other.  They're not going to build the H / full triangle versions again.

I do wonder if the value is limited somewhat in the 52, because the wheel size is the same as millions of vintage mountain bikes.  The long, low, comfortable geometry is what makes it stand out and would be what to highlight - either in a build or in the sales market.  Also, remember that the Clem was conceived specifically to be less expensive than a high-end version of a used, rigid, vintage mtb which were getting ludicrous prices in the used market.

I do think you should clean it up and re-take pictures if you're going to ask a premium price like you are.

Good points all around!!! The wheel size is 650b tho, not 26" just to be clear, so there is some variance from the 26" vintage MTB.
It's still got dirt on it because I'm still riding it, and was planning on cleaning up if there is interest. That said, I think you're right, if I'm selling it, I should clean it up, take pics and let it go!! My hope is that because it has been discontinued, there will be somebody who has been separated from their H and has been pining for their Rosebud, and this will be their long-awaited reunion. Thanks for the input!

To answer your question, I think you’d be hard pressed to get within a thousand dollars of your asking price. That being said, it’s a cool bike and I with you the best.

As a fellow 52cm Clem H owner I'll chime in. The price does seem high, perhaps a couple hundred too steep. The bag, dyno & tune up combo is nice but might be what is keeping the price up there. The Clem H won't be made again (most certainly) but I don't think its that special to make people seek it out on the used market and pay top dollar. Someone who will pay $2900 for a used bike probably isn't too afraid to spend a little more for a new one with out some accessories.

I have an early Clem H with the swoopy chain stays. I like the straight ones better that you have here.

Good input. Y'all are confirming my fears here. I am more emotionally attached to it than i've been willing to admit and that doesn't really translate financially. Time to sell the dyno wheel and bag separately and try to get $1800 for the discontinued H. Thanks for the feedback

Can I also chime in that as a new parent you might feel like you are not riding much now... but babies get bigger and someday that baby night want to ride with you.... and fit that bike! (I have a 15 year old who I ride with now, which at one point felt like a distant dream when I was single parenting a toddler). It sounds like you love this bike way too much to let it go. I'd encourage you to hang on to it and ride it when you can. You may find it's more often then you think... especially when elementary school starts and you get bigger chunks of time back.

I like the idea of my daughter riding the Clem but the urge to purge was too great. Found someone who will appreciate the bike with a few bells and whistles taken off and a significantly reduced price. Goodbye Clem. Happy riding all!
