Subject lines says what I need to know. More particularly, will they work over 559 X 42 Naches Passes under 50 mm VO "hammered" fenders?

Ta!

I had 48's under some mini-v's and it was super tight. That's with a Box Components mini-v which by specs is slightly taller than the MiniMoto. I switched to 42's to improve the room. I can't see me getting fenders under there with the 42's.  I have never personally tried the combo you are looking at but based on specs and such if it did work it would be very tight. I have my doubts over it working. If you want big tires and a fender the best best is probably standard V's.

Hey Patrick. I haven't tried 50mm fenders with MiniMotos, but I've tested the limits of their clearance a bit. Here are some examples:

- I can confirm they technically, but not safely, clear a 650bx2.1 Thunderburt on a custom fork (brake posts were spaced for Honjo 62 fenders - Minimotos do not clear these fenders)
- I can confirm they clear 48mm tires without fenders, same fork
- I can confirm they clear a SKS B5 fenders on a Quickbeam.
- Closer to your sizing/situation, please see photos below of two different bikes with Minimotos:

This is a Naches Pass w/o fenders on a '92 XO-1:

And here are photos of a Quickbeam with 700x38 GravelKings, with 45mm Smooth Fenders from Velo Orange (that might look close, but it fits nicely, no clearance issues):

Patrick, thanks for your question and Patch those are helpful visuals. I've wondered how MiniMotos might interact with fenders; certainly on the close side. With a little massaging my 50mm Berthouds might squeeze in there. Thank you again.

Best,

Thanks all for the replies; too bad, as I'm sure the MMs would brake stronger than the Paul cantis. However, the cantis are officially "OK" (per me) for performance, and Exceptional for looks.
