Interesting article on deciphering Taiwan-made serial numbers posted today: https://www.rivbike.com/blogs/news/how-to-decode-your-rivendells-serial-number

Seems easy to guess that M frames would come from Maxway, does anyone know who the other builder would be?

Interesting and I can confirm my TIG Roadini has a T series serial.

Ultimately though it’s only an academic interest for me, as the quality appears very high regardless!

AOA32AL00** doesn’t compute for a roughly 2016 Clem, or does it? Maybe I missed something
This did get me to look down there and swipe with a rag. My rear shift cable is looking rough, I should try deciphering more often…

Kai: "There are also some older Taiwan frames with serial numbers that don't correspond to either of the styles above. I'll try to figure those out and update this blog, but no promises." Stay tuned!

My 12/2020 fillet Susie serial begins with TN. I'm guessing this may be Tonjin, they specialize in fillet brazing.

My '24 model Roaduno is s/n TNNH, and fully lugged.

Ron,
Could still be Tonjin, they do lugged frames as well.

No worries Derek, and way cool - nice to know who made it.
I like Aug '23 (birth month), and my '75 Raleigh International was made in Aug '74.
Tonjin and Worksop works for me.

Maybe the T's are from Tonjin?

I just got a Waterford but cannot decipher the time it was made. Any advice?

I'd call that the 59th frame made in September of 2009.
