I'm the proud owner of a Charlie Gallop frame. It comes with a pre-installed bottom bracket. But I can't figure out what size it is. I was hoping somebody knew. I don't really want to remove it if it's the size I need. Thanks in advance for any info.

What's in there is most likely a 110mm, but I guess it could possibly be a 113 or maybe even a 107.  The length should be stamped in the spindle, so have a look.  Also you could just measure the length.  It's going to be one of those three sizes.

Seeing that the rear spacing is a road-spec 130mm it's most likely a 110 BB.(A 107 is doubful as it doesn't offer any less driveside distance for a lesser chainline, and Riv recommends a 110 for their Silver crank). Do measure it though. Easy with even just a metric enabled ruler.

Not so easy even with a regular caliper, at least not while it's installed.
The best way to get sub-mm accuracy is to use a clamp to touch both sides of the axle, then remove the clamp and measure the distance with a ruler. If you don't have one, find a way to tape, tie, or glue two sticks together in a shallow V, touch it to both sides of the axle, and mark with a pen. Then measure that.

You can eybeall with a ruler, too, but then parallax will make it a ~2mm measurement, which isn't really helpful.

I've never been able to accurately measure a spindle with a tape measure while it's in the frame. I don't think it's stamped on the outside either, there's a sticker on the body inside the shell. Call Will @ Riv, he'll know!

I just swapped the BB on my new CHG – the original is 113mm. Hope that helps.

If you don't have a vernier caliper to do the job, then you can get a pretty accurate measurement with a tape measure by measuring the width of the BB shell (including the cups if they protrude beyond the shell, then butt the end of the tape measure against the shell/cups each side and measure how far the spindle protrudes. Add the three measurements together to get the BB length.
