Looks like it’s up and in placeholder mode.

Sizing (or at least the size names) have changed. My PBH of 86 always seems to fall in between two sizes. If I want the option of switching up bars between drops and something swept back should I go for the larger or smaller size? I’ll mostly be riding on pavement.

I put my deposit down 2 weeks ago with Golden Pliers for a 51 in Dark Gold. I exchanged a couple emails with Will at Riv, and he sent me the color pic that's now on the site. I like it, but before the picture I was expecting an "Olive Gold" or something like the dark mustard some of the Clems were painted. This looks much more on the orange side of the spectrum.
For what it's worth, Will also said they were already low on the 51cm size - Blue Lug as spoken for most of them. So if you're on the fence about one of these and are in the size range of the average Japanese rider, get on it quick.

not to derail but since this will inevitably be filled with pics of sams i thought i'd just start that for you all. recently completed this sam. still working through fender line tweaks a bit but its 99% there. rack attachment on the back is for a yepp. if anyone has any tips for that flared upward front fender problem SKS's seem to be plagued with i'm all ears. if not i might just size a wine cork between the rack and fender somehow.

Beautiful Sam! The front fender needs to sit higher at the fork crown above the wheel. The metal tab can be bent or bent or a spacer used to allow a touch more vertical adjustment. Then adjust the stays to get it all uniform ideally without inducing toe overlap.

That's what I thought, too...

What top tube pad is that? Do you have a full housing cable on the back? I know it’s a small detail but I want one on my Rivendell!

That bike looks awesome though! It just looks like it’s on an amazing adventure standing still.

Hey there! picked up the top tube pad at little boutique bike shop in Philly around 2011, can't remember the name of the shop, but they made a lot of cool stuff. Yeah top tube pads rule and make a ton of sense.

yea, not sure that applies here unless i want a serious gap between the fender and tire. where it currently sits provides the perfect relationship.

That's an excellent setup!  This Sam can do anything/go anywhere!

Question: which tires are those?  This's probably the widest tires I've seen on a Sam.

Hi Ash! Thanks! Indeed it goes almost everywhere I'd like it to. I'm surrounded by extensive foot trails, which I'd need close to 3" tires to ride, but for everything else, the Sam for me is perfect.

The tires are Bruce Gordon Rock n' Road, http://www.bgcycles.com/new-page-24 they are set up tubeless. I really love these tires, I've had my eye on RnR's for a long time, finally have a frame set that can fit them. Should have enough room to fit fenders as well.

On another note, oddly, after or during that ride , the bolts on the V/O crank set came loose, one actually fell off! Gotta learn to make sure to check everything before going out!
