Thought someone might be interested in this story which appears in the current Atlanta magazine.
All my rides were on a Romulus except my recent ride from ATL to Key West and back which was on a new Appaloosa. All were self contained with full loads.

I loved every last word. Wow, I had not heard your story and did not know how prolific you are. Just such a treat. Write more! Tell us more about your bike and your adventures. Please.

Thanks for sharing that. I just turned 66, and this shows that at least for some people there's riding life after retirement age (I'm not retired, alas).

80+-year-old riders are pretty common one the Classics Rendezvous list, and this video gained some positive comment there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAUHxx3EcAY

Hi Irv,

That is a fantastic write-up. How do you stay in such good shape to ride that much? I am in my late thirties now and would love to continue riding as many years as you have. Also post a picture of your Appaloosa with your full load of camping gear!

Irv,

Very inspiring. Looking and feeling great at any age is impressive, but to do it for so long is truly great. Hope to hear more of your radical adventures.

Thanks for sharing that Irv. I enjoyed reading about your adventures.

I noticed Thomas Wheatley's by line and decided to check out what he's been writing, and I realized the entire March issue of Atlanta magazine is devoted to bikes: https://www.atlantamagazine.com/issue/march-2021/

If anyone is interested in what's up with cycling in Atlanta, that's a good place to start. And Wheatley is one of the best journalists on the local/state news beat, FWIW. I'm looking forward to riding around my old haunts when I get back there this summer.
