Hey there -
Just a heads up that for the past week or so, Google Groups was sending me a minimum of 4 and sometimes upwards of a dozen copies for every potential post to the moderation queue. That means if you are moderated, I found many copies of your post. Wednesday morning, for example, there were north of 75 posts which seemed to be from only 5 or 6 attempts. It seems to have lessened in the last couple days, so I'm hopeful the fine folks in Mountain View have fixed this.
It was also generating them out of order - so I'd see a couple identical ones, then a few from someone else, then one that _seemed_ like the one I had read a moment ago. Which meant I had to jump over to the list to confirm the earlier one had gone through before deleting the others. This was fun for the first day, but got a bit overwhelming.
What I did: For the fortunate few whose posts didn't double-treble-quadruple (or so) tap, I pushed those through if they were on topic (meaning they were NOT sending contact information for a sale - those should be messaged directly to the posting party, not to the list at large). For most of them, they were deleted. (FWIW, it does seem that a lot of newer/moderated list members are not direct messaging sellers of items - there has been an increase in "...is this still for sale?" post attempts.)
Which means: if you made an exceptionally salient post, and you don't see it on the group threads, then you should try again. If you are trying to coordinate a purchase from an individual, you should do that via direct message with that person.
Thanks!
