Up for sale is a brand new Stronglight A9 1-inch threaded headset with sealed cartridge bearings and English threading.

I’m selling this because of a fulfillment mix-up—I had ordered what was supposed to be a NOS vintage A9 with roller (needle/cylinder) bearings, but the vendor sent this modern sealed-bearing version instead. Rather than hassle with returning it to Europe, I kept it, thinking I’d use it someday. (If I’d wanted the cartridge version to begin with, I would’ve just ordered it domestically from Peter White.)

This is a classic, high-quality headset with smooth performance, long-term durability, and understated good looks. It will work with the vast majority of Rivendell models and any bike that takes a standard English-threaded 1” headset.
