Hello.

I am headed to eastern shore, MD area for a day or two and will have a bit of free time. Just wondering if anyone knows of any interesting bike shops that might be worth visiting while I’m in the area. TIA for any recommendations.

Thanks,
Jim

While it’s NOT MD per se, Happy Go Bikes is a Riv Dealer just inches south of MD on Connecticut Street. Ben, the owner is most definitely a RivBike insider!

I am not sure if you will be in this area of MD but Gravel and Grind in Frederick is nice and also has good coffee

Easton Cycle and Sport is in Easton.  They have always been interested and helpful with maintenance and small parts  for my old bikes. The Bike Doctor is on Kent Island. I can’t say that I’ve been in their shop, but they do organized rides on weekends. If you will have access to a bike there are some lovely country roads in Talbot, Caroline and Queen Anne counties. Check out their bike maps for details.

Thank you for all the suggestions! I ended up having to spend much more time at my appointment than expected so didn't have a chance to explore but will be heading back and looking forward to checking these out.

Gravel & Grind used to be a Rivendale dealer. James took the Rivendell part of the business and moved to Vermont,  now as analog cycles.   Doesn’t mean that G G isn’t worth going to; this is just a note.  They did have fabulous coffee the times I visited.
