Yeah, so first thing first; I left my house at 7:30 this morning and drove 300 round trip miles from Toledo, Ohio to Midland, Michigan & back. I was home at 1:00. Quick trip to bring home this Clem. I would post some nice pics except it is pretty inconvenient as the pics are on my phone & I cannot start a new conversation from my phone. Frustrating.
But, the Clem (first Riv) is lovely.
This brand new but second owner Clem comes with 135mm FacePlater 31.8 clamp diameter stem and 65cm Tosco bar, both gorgeous! Alas the stem is WAY too long for me and the bar may be too wide. So I am wondering if anyone might be interested in a trade?
Also, does anyone find that with the relatively slack seat tube that you require a zero offset post?
Happy to be here & thanks,
Richard

Richard,

I just responded to your other question about the saddle.  Congratulations on the new Clem!   I did nearly the same thing to get my bikes.  Why ship with the potential for damage when it is close enough to pick up.

I look forward to seeing your pictures and have the same issue as you.  I email the pics to my email account, open email on PC save them to my PC's folder and then attach to the message.  When I do that, the pics look sideways, but once we double click on them for a bigger view, they show positioned properly.  I no longer have the Appaloosa, but it will give you idea of the pic issue.

Miles of smiles,
Roberta

Of course, that pic looks fine!  So much for an example of sideways pictures.  I guess you'll just have to believe me!

Oops! I think I may have jumped the gun. Just finished first ride (other than Dow the street), a 28 degree & very windy 23 miles. First I put my SQ Labs saddle on, adjusting it just so. Then I jacked up the stem a bunch - 3 or 4cm - a I’ll be damned if I was not VERY comfortable. I am very upright with hands @ the tips & the reach down to the straight section into the wind felt good. I now suspect the 85 stem will be to short with the longer “handles” of the Bosco. AND, the 65 width of the Tosco felt good! I feel stupid now

It's BEAUTIFUL and even better, COMFORTABLE!  It took me awhile to get my Platy "just so."

BTW, before I found this group about five years ago, I didn't know one could just change stems or handlebars to get a more comfortable ride.  I sold my last bike (pre-Riv) because I had to reach forward too much and that bothered my neck.  My ignorance became my (Riv) gain!
