Did anyone else catch the Charlie Gallop on PBS NewsHour tonight?

At about the 44 minute mark, Stanford professor Pamela Karlan was interviewed about the broken state of our congressional elections, and the need for proportional representation. I'm guessing that's her ride, against the wall of the office, behind her.

Hard to tell, but the top tube angle and head badge look like a platypus to me! Good eye Andrew!

Yes, hard to tell. But, I think I’m seeing caliper brakes. Also wondering about that dark green color.

How about a Glorius? They came with the color of your choice.

Not to spoil the fun but I did the most millennial thing possible and emailed her, it’s a 20 year old Glorious.

Wouldn't the Glorius/Wilbury be the quintessential bicycle for a college professor's commuter bike 20 years ago?  With the Platypus being the modern day equivalent. ;-)

Glorious makes more sense, seeing as those cork grips have been gone since before Platy and Charlie came about. Or around the same time the Platy came out. It's been some years, is my point.
