Hi guys! I'm located in Oslo, Norway and really wanting a set of the resurrectio decals for my latest rescue project. However, Rivendells cheapest shipping option is 84 USD for priority int. USPS shipping. I'm convinced there are cheaper shipping options out there for such a small and light package, so if anyone is sitting on a set of decals (preferably for over clear coat) I'll very happily take them off your hands and naturally cover all shipping costs if it can be had for cheaper than over at riv.

Their shipping costs really are unreasonably steep for international shipping I've noted in the past as well when ordering my first riv frame.

Thanks!

The cheapest USPS flat rate envelope is $50, but a Global Forever stamp is only $1.65.  A single Global Forever stamp will mail a letter that weighs up to 1oz.  (28g).  I own a set of Resurrectio over-clear coat decals.  I got my son to fish them out of my garage (I can't venture in there with a broken leg).  Inside an envelope they weigh 20g.

So, my recommendation is that you email Will.  Ask him if he will mail them to you with a Global Forever stamp instead of whatever the website is treating as a minimum shipping box.  If Will can't do that, then let me know and I'll mail you mine (not true, I'll have my son mail them to you), and buy another set from Rivendell.

Thanks a lot Bill, I tried to google to find shipping rates from the US, but it was kinda confusing so thanks for the info on the stamp! I'll certainly shoot an email over to the guys at Riv and ask politely.

Off-topic...but, Bill, what happened that you broke your leg? I'm sorry to hear about this and I hope you heal quickly. Don't share if you don't want to, of course

I had been ramping up my running, with the target of running my first ever marathon in August 2025 and racing in a trail Duathlon in October.  I was running the Cinderella trail half-marathon earlier this month in Oakland (Joaquin Miller Park).  I was over half-way through and feeling great so I kind of stepped on the gas.  On a gradual down-hill I was running quite fast, and caught a toe on a root or something.  Rather than fall, I caught myself with my left leg hyperextended and heard a crunch.  I fell in a heap, and got up to find my left leg wouldn't take any weight on it at all.  I hobbled out with a tree branch walking stick about 3/4-mile to the next aid station, and a volunteer drove me to my car and I got myself home.  X-Ray and CT scans confirmed that my left femur slammed into the top of my left tibia and kind of caved in the roof of my tibia.  It's cracked but not displaced.  So no surgery and no cast.  I just can't put ANY weight on my left leg for 6 weeks.  Sunday will make it 3 weeks.  I think it's been 50 years since the last time I've gone this long without riding a bicycle.

Yikes! That is quite the saga! I'm glad you don't need surgery or a cast....and no doubt your active lifestyle will speed recovery.  I'm sure you're itching to get back riding again. Hope you heal quickly
