berthoud panniers on an rbw hub area rack

Hi, all.

It looks to me like the berthoud GB799 and/or GB1488 panniers might work reasonably well on Rivendell's Hub Area Rack. Does anyone have any experience with either combination, specifically with non-Klickfix attachment hardware?

Panniers Berthoud 799C with hooks Gray

Neither is an obvious perfect fit. The GB799s may be too small and the GB1488s may be too big. Thus, any information on real-world experience would be helpful.

But there's simply no denying that the GB799s are the cutest little panniers on the planet!
