Hey Rivsters,

Emptied out my storage place after three years and found a bunch of things that I clearly am not using. Can be yours! I'm off on tour in a few weeks so need to ship everything by Friday, July 23rd, so about a one week sale here.  Please email me directly as I only check the group via the web.

All items are sold as is, US shipping included, Paypal only unless you are in WA and willing to come pick them up cash in hand. Will entertain offers, taking the best one.

Nitto Mark's Hub Area Rack with Hoop
Sackville Hub Area Bag, pair, Olive
$275 for the lot
These are absolute brand new. I bought them for a project that never happened. Racks are still in the bag they came in and include the hoop to link them.  Panniers were never even put on the rack, or even opened up.  These are currently unavailable from Riv and were about $350 when I bought them. A real steal!

Sackville Saddlebag $175
Tan waxed cavas. Can't really remember when I bought this. This is the largest saddlebag I've ever bought but I'm pretty sure it was just the medium back then. Looks about equivalent to the current "HappiSack".  It is in remarkably good shape. I used it only on one or two tours as it was overly large for my daily needs. There is some rubbing on the leather on the bottom where it rested on the rack. Some rubbing marks where the straps were pressed against it near the saddle loops.  Comes with the "kangaroo pouch" that was introduced with this bag. No tears, zippers work great. All straps in good shape, but I don't have the saddlebag straps. These are available in two size from Riv.

Clem Rack with tail light mouth, and pannier rails - $75
Brand new, bought for a project that didn't materialize. These are still in their original packaging and in the box from Riv with the invoice still in it! I will simply seal the box and send it out to the lucky recipient.

Nitto R12 Saddle Bag Supporter: $40
This is in very good shape, a little scuffing on the rubber attachment point, but no tears in the rubber. This worked great but doesn't work with the seat stays on my NFE.

Nitto Lugged Threadless Stem  $100
Used this for about two years on my NFE but switched it out for a riser stem. Not likely to have a second treadless bike, so up for grabs. The exterior is in perfect condition, some evidence of being attached to stem and h'bars in the clamp areas. I think it is 9cm  but could be 10cm

Brooks Cambium C17 Slate   $75
Used this for a few years before I decided it just didn't quite fit my sit bones. In very good shape, a little beausage around where the sit bones would be.

Rivendell Reader CD-Rs $10
Four CD-Rs with Rivendell Readers 1-35 on them. These were sold by Riv back in the day and are probably professionally duplicated. I stuck them in the ol CD-Rom--still reads fine.

Other Bags
Non-Riv related items, but good bags that may be of interest. Pictures of these on request

Arkel Grand Touring Pannier Set $450
GT-30 Front Panniers and GT-54 Rear Panniers. These are the classic Arkel four bag touring set. I got these for my first tour in 2004 and used them in my 2012 cross country tour. The GT-54's were only used on those two tours and maybe a couple of random stuff hauling sessions. The GT-30's I used extensively with my front pannier, rear saddlebag setup that is my preference. They are in remarkably good shape, no tears in the fabric, no issues, with zippers, straps or velcro. Some tears in the front mesh on the GT-30s.  Back in the day I bought these in green which was discontinued shortly after. I always used the rain covers (included!) on them, so there is remarkably little fading. They use the old style mounting system, which easily works on any rack and can be easily updated to the newer system

Basil Urban Fold Messenger and Bicycle Pannier Bag - Black - 20 litres $50
This was the best solution I ever found for commuting with a laptop. It super easily attaches to a rack and it genuinely is usable as a briefcase style bag. Super easy to open and insert laptop and to cover up the attachment points to sling over the shoulder.

Parktool CCP-22 Crank Puller $10
For some reason I have two of these. This one is new in packaging, never opened or used.

thanks for looking,
Robert

Hey Rivsters,

Only a few days left before I'm off, so I'm pricing remaining items to move. Prices include shipping in CONUS. Friday is the last day I'll be able to ship things out.

thanks,
Robert

Sackville Saddlebag $115
Tan waxed canvas. Bought 2013 or 2014. This is the largest saddlebag I've ever owned but I'm pretty sure it is the medium size. Looks about equivalent to the current "HappiSack".  It is in remarkably good shape. I used it only on one or two tours as it was overly large for my daily needs. All straps in good shape, but I don't have the saddlebag straps. These can be bought from Riv here: Sackville Leather Straps.

Pletscher (Clem) Rack with tail light mount, and pannier rails - $45
Brand new, bought for a project that didn't materialize. These are still in their original packaging and in the box from Riv with the invoice still in it! I will simply seal the box and send it out to the lucky recipient.

Nitto R12 Saddle Bag Supporter$30
This is in very good shape, a little scuffing on the rubber attachment point, but no tears in the rubber. This worked great but doesn't work with the seat stays on my NFE.

Nitto Lugged Threadless Stem  $70
Used this for about two years on my NFE but switched it out for a riser stem. Not likely to have a second treadless bike, so up for grabs. The exterior is in perfect condition, some evidence of being attached to stem and h'bars in the clamp areas. I think it is 9cm  but could be 10cm

First person who buys one of these items can have the four CD-Rs of Rivendell Readers if you want them.

Do Pletscher racks still mount by clamping the seatstays, or do they mount to holes in the seatstays like most other racks nowadays?   I might be slightly interested in the rack, but it would matter how those mount.  I did not see it still listed on the Riv website, which seems kind of sad.

Best regards,
Matt
