Dear all,

My 50 cm Platypus is still being built up by Analogue cycles.  I would like to purchase a top tube adapter for it so that I can transport it with my hanging bicycle rack.

Would someone with a 50 cm Platypus be able to measure the distance between the seatpost and the handlebar stem and relay the distance to me.  I want to make sure the toptube adapter I purchase is long enough.

Kind regards,

I didn't even think to check mine, since that is what I'm going to use, as you know.   I need to know the same for the 55, although I think the ETT is 60cm.

I have another step thru, so I have some experience with cross bar on hanging racks.

Assuming your bar is long enough, you'll probably need to lower the stem so the bike sits level.  Otherwise, the front wheel might be too low to the ground.  Another option if you don't lower the stem is just to remove the front wheel and that is probably what I'll do.  A third option is to put the frame directly on the  bike rack.  It looks silly with the back end stuck in the air, but it works perfectly fine.  One time I actually hooked the front hook to where the top tube and the headtube meet.  I'm not sure I'd do that on this bike.

It's an easy trip from where you are.  I'm starting a bit west of you, so I'm going up I 287.
