Shot this earlier today, on my way to start a ride to Berkeley. At some point in the future, I plan to put out a call to all RBW list members for your best Mt Diablo photos so that I can finally make the “36 Views” idea a reality. Stay tuned!

Cool project Eric! It would be great if those 36 views encompassed a 360-degree range of the mountain.

On occasion, I hiked those trails 30 years ago when I lived in SF. This was before I had any real awareness that people have been living and hiking that mountain for hundreds of generations. I got curious and found this: The mountain was/is known as 'Tuyshtak' or 'dawn of time' by the Ohlone people. 'Dawn of Time'. Very poetic!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing your 36 Views of The Dawn of Time.

I had the same thought. I’m hoping others have shots from the other side … or I may need to do a few photo expeditions myself!

Another shot of GP’s mountain—taken from the Black Point Cafe, my favorite lunch joint. I get a table to myself, so quiet and peaceful. 

Twenty five miles out, twenty five back…always a good day.

It is/was. Not only was it a beautiful day - ride to Rock City back on Wall Point Rd - but a ditch day from work! Those papers will still be on the desk.
