A rare and terrific bike. I have 2 Quickbeams and 1 garage, so one has to go. These are made in Japan and the year that has a kickstand plate and front rack mounts – huge upgrades.

Beausage all around, but no rust or structural problems. The kickstand doesn’t sit exactly flush but functions perfectly, see pic. Recently degreased, framesaved, and all parts installed with fresh grease. I am not great with threaded headsets or cantilevers, so they may need a tweak or two. If you know cantilever magic please teach me!

I loved having 2 set up, and could see 3: 1. Fendered/racks/dynamo commuter with drops, 2. fixed gear lightweight with albatross bars, 3. Offroad with fat cross tires and jitensha bars
