WTB: 52 Clem L or 45 Clem H

I wanted to narrow down my broad search to a Clem style.  Technically based on my size I should be on a 52 frame but the standover is huge on that 52 H.  I had a 52 Hillborne and it was at the top of what I liked size wise with standover and the 52 Clem H is even higher.  So even though I prefer the H I think I am leaning toward a L because I could get the 52 which is probably a better overall fit but not have to worry about SO.  That said I would do a 45 H if that's whats around.

I don't need a saddle, seatpost or pedals but will take any other level of frame to complete depending on what you want to sell.

I am going to take the H off of the table.  I am firmly in the camp of wanting that 52 L even if they don't pop up alot.  I know they have a preorder on new ones but I would like to see if I can save some coin going used AND I am not a fan of the new blue color and that's all that's left in the 52 size.

Anyone looking to unload one or have a lead?

FYI you are about the fourth or fifth person to post a WTB Clem L 52. I suggest if you are truly serious, you buy a Blue 52 now. You might even be able to trade for a color you like better down the road--certainly you'll be in a much better position to do so.

So now it appears that even if I wanted to suck it up and get blue the 52 is not available in any color anymore.  So I am still looking for someone that has one used OR if anyone knows where I can grab just a frame.  I had a lead on a used one but it didn't work out.  So who can help me? :)

I'm not really interested in spending $1650 for a complete because I have a bunch of parts so would prefer not to spend that much for stuff I don't need.  The preorder for frames at Riv is sold out.  There is only completes available AND its only in blue.  Chris offered one AND I contacted him. I found out they only stock them as complete from Riv.  They don't get frames.  The badass one here is used for the same price as a new one because it has a bunch of stuff I don't need like the dyno hub.  So while I would consider a complete one used I don't want to pay top $$ for things I don't need and then would need to resell.  So now you know what's going on here.

You might need a Dyno hub, they're better than you might think or remember. Definitely worth keeping (and buying)

I have a dyno hub on my Tern Cargo Node and I so wish I had one on my Clem.

According to one of the last emails from Riv, they are not doing any preorders for framesets, only for the completes. So, you should still be able to get either color frameset whenever they get them in.

Thanks! I think I just found out the same thing. I thought the frames were sold out but it turns out that they weren't up for preorder. I shot an email to rivendell and they are checking things out for me.

Seems like overall price/demand has gone up for all bike things.  Which is great!

At our LBS I used to be able to walk straight up to the mechanic in the backroom and get my work taken care of.  That's before COVID.  Yesterday I took my Susie frame to get the headset replaced (to a black one, for aesthetics).  Had to wait in the line outside in the sun for 20 mins (this is not even a weekend) before someone had a chance to come out and talk to me.  The earliest available appointment was one week out.  I'm really happy for them.
