Good Problem to have? FS/FT

I've wanted an atlantis but,  now I have two!  

I bought a new MIT Atlantis 53cm frame. soon after I came across a 56cm waterford complete at a good price, so I bought it... I don't really need an extra frame and I'm not sure I can return it, nor do I want to (understanding the struggle of a small business) 

Do I sale the new frame (in box)?

OR! I would be willing to trade for a different Riv. Cheviot would be a great different style or a complete clem L

 Another option would be to build the MIT Atlantis and sale it complete??

53cm is out of stock, you should be able to sell it as new.

yeah I would try to sale it at full price I've only put wheels seat post and stem on it. I haven't even put grease on to yet.

Don't build it up, that would be a money losing proposition. Sell what you have in the box. Good luck on your sale.

The answer is obvious.  Keep them both.  I think they are significantly different from each other, even though they are the same color and have the same model name.  Enjoy the old Atlantis.  Hold onto the new one and build it up when you feel like it.  My recommendation would be to build the two bikes differently from each other.

I would build up the MIT one as an old school style MTB with Wavie or Bullmoose bars, and the Waterford as a drop bar all-rounder. Unless you can't afford to keep both, I bet you wouldn't regret it!

That is indeed a good problem to have.  I've had a 58 cm Toyo Atlantis for 16 years, so I'm pretty familiar with it.  I've ridden a 53 cm MIT & the bikes ride noticeably differently.  I prefer the new, long wheelbase for the ride & it doesn't seem to compromise anything on tight trails.  It's a better Atlantis. 

My advice would be to build it up completely different from the 56.  Maybe one as a touring bike (the Atlantis mission) and the other as a trail bike (which the Atlantis also does well).  However, if you are short of space, time, loose cash, or have other constraints (don't we all?), I'd sell the 53 as "NIB".  I'm sure it won't last long, esp. if delivery on one from Rivendell is a long way off.

I agree with dougp and others, if affordable,
I’d make one a townie or road tourer and the other a 90’s style mountain trail bike. It’s such a versatile frame...and even more so because you have them from different eras. I feel blessed to have a Waterford Atlantis made during the transition from Musa to mit. I feel like I get the best of both worlds, but you’re in an even better position.
Mine has to occupy a middle ground setup wise, you could go full out on either end.

Or sell the 56cm and build up the new? The 56cm Toyo should be a sought after model for some time, due to the 26" wheel size. 650b for rim brakes leaves few options for rims outside of the USA, so someone looking for a traveling bike might prefer the Toyo for the availability of rims and the shorter wheelbase.

As noted, you have 2 completely different frames that happen to have the same name/color, so the idea of selling one, as-if you have duplicates simply doesn't apply.

Selling either without even riding either , what would be the point of that ?  

Why did you even buy either ?

Seems to me the only proposal is "which bike am I riding today ?".

I agree with Bill and Eamon. I must say that I really enjoy my 53 MIT Atlantis. The ride with the LWB is wonderful.
