NYC Rides - it's that time of year again!

It's getting nice out and, while last year's attempt to organize a NYC-area ride didn't come to pass (entirely my fault), I figured what they hey let's try again.

Any NYC-area RBWOs interested in laps around the park, rides to the Cloisters, or even points beyond, let's get together!

About 40 miles from City. Would be interested in rides depending upon location. Also interested in rides upstate, like Walkway over the Hudson from Hopewell Junction (weekends tend to be crowded going north). No outer boroughs - too far to travel. Prefer West Side.

I’m interested if a Hudson Valley ride materializes and can highly recommend the Harlem Valley Rail Trail as a lovely route.

The last stop of the Metro North Harlem Valley line is at Wassaic, NY, about a mile north of the start of the HVRT (and on the trail) for anyone who might want to day trip out of NYC. There are nice towns along the way and it can be done as an out and back that’s about 50 miles if you want to stay off the road. It’s quite flat and, I guess, unchallenging but I find it to be perfect for just spinning along. 

In the hamlet of Wassaic there’s a fun bar/restaurant called The Lantern that could make a great post-ride spot. 

I’m not too well-versed in list etiquette so let me know if this is off-topic or would merit a new thread.

AHHHHHH, I've been wanting to respond since you first posted!  YES, PLEASE, add me to the list of desirable riders...I mean, a rider who greatly desires to ride more around NYC and beyond!   I'm a native  Long Gilander, second generation Broolyner by birth and residence in the 80s; long time 5 boro bike rider but have so much more to learn and experience in the saddle!
