I am looking for some hemp twine to re-wrap my handlebars and Riv is all out. Does anyone know where to find some in the Bay Area or have any that they'd like to sell to me? Lowes has jute twine, but it is pretty thick and scratchy. I live in the mission in SF, but willing to drive to the east bay or peninsula to get it.

Eric, PM sent, I can't track down your number to text. I found a roll of twine which I PMed about, then realized I have a whole shellack-and-twine kit Riv sold for a while. Holla at me!

Your local Hobby Lobby, Michael's or other craft store may have it; frequently the Hemp nature of twine is not it's calling card; many times you have to pick t up and read the label to see what it's made of! Many times it is hemp and sometimes it's Jute (whatever that is?), But you should be able to find something that will work there.  I got a big ball of hemp twine somewhere many years ago for like 4 bucks; a lifetime supply!

Eric picked mine up today. My twining days are over (I like Ergon or Jones grips) and more stuff I don't need is outta my apartment!

I'll still use twine from time to time, but generally for attaching bells to my saddle. For finishing off bar tape I like to use Hockey tape; it's super sticky, comes in plenty of interesting designs and is only 5 bucks for a roll that will last a pretty long time
Generally, we have some, because my son has played hockey for 10 years.
