I am starting off as local SF Bay pick-up only because shipping has been difficult lately for obvious reasons. I will spray all parts with sanitizer and can leave them safely on my porch in Hayward for easy contactless pick-up and may be able to drop off parts around the East SF Bay next week. Discounts for combos. Thanks all and stay safe!

650b tires

-Schwalbe Thunderburts - 650b x 2.1

-Panaracer Gravelkings, tan wall - 650bx42

-Both have around 100 miles of riding and a little sticky from running tubeless with stans

-$100 for both pairs (4 tires)

-Selling because I am curious about the ultradynamico tires at Riv now!

29” tires

-Vee Rubber 29x1.95, 120 TPI – brand new in package

-Schwalbe Racing Ralph 29x2.4, EVO evolution Snake Skin – used but lots of life. I don’t actually remember getting this tire so let’s call it free with the Vee Rubber

-$30 for both tires

Campagnolo Rear wheel

-Mavic Cosmos, Campagnolo freehub body, 130mm rear quick release

-10 speed Miche cassette, 12-27 - excellent condition, like-new

-10 speed Campagnolo cassette, 13-29 - not a lot of miles but dirty

-$75

Nitto Albatross, chromoly

-Used, some scratches but no dings at all

-$50

Sugino Triple set up

-Sugino XD2 triple, 175, aftermarket rings

-Shimano UN-55, 68x118, never installed so not sure about fit, probably best with a mountain triple derailleur

-VX clipless pedals

-$50

Shimano Cassettes

-SLX CS-HG81-10, 11-32, 10 speed

-Ultegra CS-6500, 12-27, 9 speed

-Both in like-new condition with less than 1 mile. I believe Ultegra was mounted for a test ride but taken right off, not sure about the SLX, maybe never touched.

-$25 each

DT Swiss Rims

-XR361 – great and light rims. Includes DT Swiss nipples and washers

-One 28 hole, One 32 hole, brand new in packaging

-$90 for the pair

Surly Krampus fork

-Fits FAT tires

-Great condition, cut with 21cm of steerer with starnut installed

-$90

Hi Chris. I’d love to buy those GravelKings from you. If you do happen to be passing through this part of the East Bay, I live in West Berkeley, three minutes from the University Ave exit from the 580. If not, we can certainly arrange for pickup elsewhere!

Thanks,
Alex Applegate

Adding SuperNova Airstream front and rear light! Great condition, a few mounting band sizes included. I believe this is the first Airstream not Airstream II.

Front and Rear for $55 picked up.

Thanks!

If you ever get to the point where you are open to shipping let me know. Would be interested in the Sugino triple set up.

Thanks,
Ray

Hi Ray, thanks for your interest! I've had a bunch of problems with shipping lately so would rather avoid it. 1 package lost from USPS and another from UPS, plus a lot difficulty getting them to pick up even after paying for it.

No worries. That sounds like a real headache--understand completely. Best of luck with the sales!

FWIW, and that may be millions or it may be nothing: I've several times offered things for sale with the condition that buyer pays to have a local bike shop pack and ship the goods. This can mean either that I get payment for the goods and leave them at the bike shop, and the buyer talks directly to the shop to arrange packing and shipping and payment for same; or:

More frequently, I pay shop $N to pack and ship to zip code 12345, and collect the purchase price plus $N from buyer.

But, to illustrate how well this might work for both buyer and seller: a few years ago I sold a British Racing Trike (*) to someone in the CONUS. If you look at the picture below, you will see that packing and shipping a BRT is no small thing.

Me, when I bought the trike, the seller himself undertook packing and shipping. He disassembled, packed, and drove the package to the shipper (UPS or USPS, forget which). Nope, despite heroic efforts it was still 4.76% bigger than "normal" package size and would have incurred a massive "oversize" surcharge..

He grimly drove it home again and repackaged it to fit the "normal" criteria.

Big hassle.

Me, when I sold it, I told buyer, "Look, you send me $N for the goods, and I'll take it down to Bike Coop and have them pack and ship; here's their number, talk to Greg, they'll take care of you."

I received no complaints afterward, so I can only suppose that, after I got my $$, Bike Coop did everything to the buyer's satisfaction.

Hey, Patrick! Never heard complains about your sales so I’m sure they do a good job packing!

My apprehension about shipping is the real strange shipping crisis we are in, especially with USPS. I’m happy to keep any of these parts and have the storage space so will keep things around if no local deals.

Thanks all and stay safe!
